He'd brought the box back to Ellie's domain in a daze. His mind should be on the job ahead and he knows it but the encounter with Zee in the cemetary has left him shell shocked. He's never wanted to have kids, the Constantine legacy was supposed to end with him. Only now Gemma's embraced the mystic world, he had a daughter with the swamp thing and Abby...and now a son.
He has to make a choice when he goes back, try and let some of the games go, and they are an addiction no matter how painful they can be, and be there. Or stay his course and loose her and everything else.
He's not very good at those kind of choices. Kit can tell you that.
For now the matter has to be put aside. No one can know what is happening or Zee will become a target.
So he brings the box, spelled to make sure no scry can see into it's interior. It certainly doesn't look like much but he's sure it will be the most hotly desired item in hell before too much longer.
