"Ah... hello, fellow citizens of Mayfield.  I fear I have been rather caught up in my own distractions as of late, and have managed to miss Christmas entirely.  I would like to offer my deepest apologies.  Busy as I am, it is no excuse not to engage in holiday festivities alongside the rest of the town.  So to all of you, I wish you what I hope will be viewed as an only slightly belated Merry Christmas."
