[Salieri is out on the town today, running some shopping errands.  Of course, he has yet to fully acclimate himself to the culture of 1950s America, so there's definitely some things to work through at each location.  So, because I've gotten used to these, have a choose-your-own adventure post.  He'll be at the following locations.]

I know, it's so old. I can't believe anybody still has one. [Sealand is trying to find anything remotely familiar to him and failing, and may or may not be peeking over from the aisle next to the record player]

Old, you say...? When was this invented?

Forever ago. The only person I know who still has one is jerk England, and that's because he can't keep up with the times.

"I see."

[Peers at the record player.]

"Well, this is my first time seeing one."

That's probably 'cause nobody uses them anymore. If you don't know a loser like I do you'd never have seen one. Everyone knows iPods are where it's at now1

Yeah, the new generation is supposed to be coming out soon. I hope I don't miss it because I'm stuck here. Maybe if I ask for one for Christmas, I'll at least get my iTouch back...

[Sealand is babbling along anyway, poor man] What kind did you have at home? I used to have a Nano and one in blue, but Finland said that if I wanted the iTouch I'd have to give them up because that's too many for one person. I think he just wanted one for himself, but I haven't found it again yet to be sure.

[There were a lot of things about those few sentences that didn't make any sense to Salieri, but he chooses to zero in on one in particular.]

"...Finland said that? You are acquainted with King Gustav III?"

No, just Finland. I wasn't around when he had kings and queens.

Yeah. Sweden's still got royalty, but they don't come and visit him much. Although I got to go to his princess' wedding!

Pardon me if I have misunderstood something, but you seem to be speaking of Sweden and Finland as if they were people rather than places.

No, you've got it right. They're, um, anthro-po-morphic personifications.
