this day and i can be friends, for now.
it's saturday and i need to leave for work in a half hour, which also means that i have ten hours remaining (between 12:30 tonight when i get home and 10:30 the next morning when i leave for work again) to clean the apartment to satisfaction and get enough sleep so that i don't fall asleep on the drive to nh after work tomorrow. my vote's on "not enough hours in the day," how about you?
malachi and i seemed to have made a conditional peace with each other.
work has been fucking nuts. yesterday we broke 62k in business, which broke the record from the day before, which was the first day we'd done over 60k. but the customers yesterday were SO SHITTY and SO PHENOMENALLY RUDE. at one point i actually got away from my register during a slow moment and locked myself in the bathroom and started crying. yesterday was just kind of funky across the board.
i really just want some time off of work. things have been so intense and i've just been working and sleeping or trying to sleep or trying to get unsick and ugh just suck. i have a letter to finish and a house to clean and, you know, shit to do. i feel mentally better today than yesterday, but... i gotta look on up, look on out. aw flat kitty looks so pettable.soffftdlskj.
got flowers in the mail yesterday, kind of. haha. a glass bottle with a packet of seeds inside, with a note written on them, 'because flowers don't hold up well in the mail.' Penstemon, it's called. Rocky Mountain Blue. i'm told that their germination rate will be ok (35-50%? I can't recall), considering the seeds are at least a year old. two, i guess. 2005. Ahahaaha. I'm going to start them after the new year.
cold, funny world. they tell me the weather on that day will be in the forties, with showers. eight days. i love this song. i'm excited but in a strange way. a month and five days behind us? gah everything. so fragmented. apologies. i have to go deal with the public at large for six hours straight. the, uh, -entitled- public at large, fuckin great.
