Strangely enough, the biggest reason I haven't really written in this thing since November is because I can never think of a good way to start out. I think I'll put up a few Jack Handey quotes to get things moving.
If you were a poor Indian with no weapons, and a bunch of conquistadors came up to you and asked where the gold was, I don't think it would be a good idea to say, "I swallowed it. So sue me."
Laurie got offended that I used the word "puke." But to me, that's what her dinner tasted like.
The crows seemed to be calling his name, thought Caw.
There, that's better.
So, where to start? I'm working on environmental engineering principles homework right now. I liked that class at first, but the homework is really incredibly long, so I'm reconsidering this class as one I'm going to enjoy. But at least it's not DSP. Or 2210. This semester is so much better than the last. Civil engineering is awesome.
I got an amazing job for this summer. I'm going to work at Philmont in New Mexico for 3 months, and Kass is going too. We're going to be staying at camps 3 miles apart, which means we'll get to see each other all the time. My camp is a rock climbing camp and it will be amazing. I seriously cannot understate how amazing it's going to be to live out there for the summer, getting paid to hike and take pictures of the views and climb Trail Peak and Mt Philips and Baldy and the Tooth of Time. Oh yeah, and live in a cabin with a porch and rocking chairs.
Kayaking is starting back up. It got too cold around Thanksgiving and I went to the river for the first time since like Beaufort this past weekend. It was good because I haven't been able to run since Christmas because I hurt my knee being an idiot and now I can't run. At all. After 10 minutes my knee dies. It ruined half of my exciting plans for this semester. I'm missing out on a half marathon this weekend, and I can't run the inaugural Georgia Marathon this March. Boo.
I guess that's it. That's my life. That's what I do.
