you should basically know this
a few things i would like to tell you about (yes, you):
1. we spent six days in my house recording my new record. we being myself and my housemates and my band mates (i have a band!). dee, sarah, the two jasons, and myself. bryar recorded it. alex twisted knobs a bit too and filmed us. tara took photos. we even got kristina born to play the fucking flute. the record is full of instruments and sounds like nothing i have ever done. there is still some layering and lots of mixing to do, but it is coming along, and this first recording session (minus all of us being sick and snowed into the house, basically) was awesome. we had wires all over the top floor of the house, going in and out of rooms. i also basically figured out how to play the saw again really well and really fast.
2. i have a job. it basically sucks, but it's also sort of hilarious because i have this regular thing i do and i realized that basically all of my humour is completely offensive and i have no idea how to interact with people without swearing a lot. it's a learning process. also: money is so crazy? seriously, people spend it so much more than i ever really noticed before.
this is basically all i have been doing with my life. music and work. work and music. and cooking a lot (or at least being with others while they cook) and smoking lots of cigarettes in my bedroom and listening to holy haunted head and grunge music.
oh hey, also, if you can draw horses pretty well or even terribly, you should get in touch with me because we need artwork for this cd when it's done.
