This is a very readable (and very scientific) little book about sex in the animal kingdom. Yes, your roommate may call you a perv, but this book will give you a firm grounding in the latest thinking about sexual selection and mating systems. During the time period we’re reading it, we will spend the first portion of lecture talking about the significance of what Judson brings up. And to ensure that everyone keeps up with the reading, there will be a Blackboard quiz due at noon on that class day (the quiz will be available for you to take starting at noon the day before class). There will be a total of 13 quizzes, each worth 10 points. Dr. Tatiana material will not be covered on the reviews or exam unless we also cover the material during regular lecture.
