Seriously, I want to know.
When women are in a public restroom, they routinely talk to each other, even if they have to yell across the room because one is washing her hands and the other is in a stall. They chat, even if you can hear one of them peeing, etc. at the time.
So one day I asked one of the male doctors at work a question from outside the door while he was in the bathroom. It took him a while to answer, and he seemed a little weirded out by it...do men just not talk whilst doing their business? Is it some kind of etiquette rule/need to concentrate?
