Basically can be summed up with this: WHAT THE EVERLOVING FUCK.

That's it.

I too was disappointed with this ep, but the 2nd one has cleared up some stuff. I think they are following their model set up for S3, where some mysterious things are happening in ep1, but don't get resolved until ep3. I just don't understand why Sherlock was texting the whole show.

Also, things are bad at my house again. Starting at the end of Nov, my vehicle died, so I had to get a bus pass for Dec. to get to work. Unfortunately, this was the coldest set of days back to back, since 1997 (think colder than the North Pole). A few times I wore 2 pants (in addition to the sweater, coat, scarf, I was already wearing). Meanwhile, my parents went on a cruise to Panama Canal. Both of them got sick on the ship, and had to see the doctor. My dad wasn't treated properly and got worse over the cruise, and when they got back to Arizona. They drove back to Calgary, in Canada, and first thing he ended up going to hospital to treat pneumonia. That was well treated, but some after-tests found some blockages in his heart, so they did triple bypass on him last week, and he's still recovering from that. But he is getting better. The bad part for mom and I, is that the hospital they did the surgery at, is across the city, and takes about a hour to return home from. Today took 1.5 hrs. So we are very tired from this almost daily excursion.

Yes, this 2nd ep was like a balm on my wounds, quite more better constructed and told. But I still can't forget how they are dragging John's character through the mud in a totally illogical and nonsensical way just for dramatic effect.

Wowowowow, that's some serious shit going on. But I'm incredibly glad that your dad is well on the way of recovery. What a scare, though. Hope he gets home very soon and at least you don't have to travel across the globe just to visit him.
