In a scale from 0 to 10, how much a Spanish accent bothers you when someone speaks in English? Because, let's face it, an English accent when someone speaks in Spanish gets a 7,5, maybe an 8 in mine. I wanted to know if this is reciprocal because Spanish and English are just not phonetically compatible or it's just me being unnecessarily quirky and a generally horrible person (I do love talking to people from abroad and I enjoy the conversations, in real people it can be cute, it's just that some part of me dislikes the quality of the sounds when I hear speeches on TV or interviews or songs -most especially songs-, or things like that.)
Also, are you able to notice differences when the person comes from one country or another? Because Spanish accents sound wildly different to me but my default way to distinguish English-speakers' accents is to realize I'm not understanding shit of what I'm being told. That's when I notice that person might have an accent.
So, be honest English-speaker-people! What do you think of the Spanish accent?
