Grandpa's in the hospital
Hey all -
We had to take grandpa to the ER today. He's been having a lot of back problems lately and a couple other things. Well today he was having really sharp pains in his stomach and mom finally convinced him to go to the ER... there we discovered that he has pneumonia, but still didn't quite know what was going on elsewhere... Well, now we know (as of 9 p.m.) - evidently his kidneys have been having issues, which has been putting pressure on his back... and his tummy and etc, etc... they put in a cathedar and a TON of fluid came out, which is a good thing because that can turn into septic poisoning very quickly, which is evil and would have killed him. In fact, the doctor said tonight if we had waited another day it WOULD have killed him.
So, relief that we caught it in time, concern because we still have stuff to deal with. Specifically we need prayers for the back problems, the kidneys and the pneumonia. I would also request prayers for my mom - she's the one with grandpa the most so she has a lot on her plate...
I hated being at that hospital today... sitting in that same waiting room I was sitting in when my grandmother died... I'm just not ready to deal with it again... so yea, i think I need some prayers too. I know he's going to be fine, it'll just be a few days in the hospital and lots of antibiotics, but it scared the hell out of me.
