First! I think everyone should check out BBC's History of the World in 100 Objects. I found the book at work  (it's massive), and now I am listening to the podcast on my computer. <3!

Second! Crafts!

First off, my Jane Austen frame. I am super proud of this, even though it barely counts as a craft. I found the frame at Value Village, painted it, and printed out a print I found online. It is right now on my bookcase, but it's too small a space for it, so soo I will find somewhere else. Perhaps in my crafting space! Also - the image is grey, not yellowy.

Next we have some of my ornaments! I have finished 3 so far. I could have done more, but alas, I'm hooked on Facebook. And lazy.

These three are stuffed - I ADORE the Gameboy! :D I did the mustache first, and I'm proud if it, but I hate the whip stitch I used to seal it up. It looks so sloppy up close (at least to me!). The others use a blanket stitch, and I like it way more. I'm getting a lot better at making my stitches uniform. I'm pretty darn proud of the Stargate too, since I didn't have anything to go on but pictures of the actual Stargates. :D

Just so you can get a idea of size.

These are the ones I have left to sew, though I have a pile of templates and un-stitched pieces floating about to make more if I want. I LOVE the ninja - I looked so hard to find a template, and found a lot of inspiration. I'm thinking about making another one without the ribbon on top - just a little pocket ninja for me. A purse ninja!

That's what I've been up too lately. Tomorrow Audrey get's her photos with Santa (at a work party - she doesn't even have to wait in line!) ,and while she is gone I'm going to put up the tree. Maybe some more decorations, we will see. How Audrey-proof are they?
