vacation!
We just got back from our mini vacation in Pigeon Forge, Tn. We had such a great time. Our cabin had a jacuzzi (for 2 ;) ) and a hot tub on the porch. We were so living it up. The hot tub was awesome, we had a view of the mountain and at night all the other cabins were lit up...and there were fireflies!!:) It was so awesome, and the fresh air was so nice. It was a great temperature too, nice and cool, and a little warm during the day but not too much. We went hiking some in the Smoky Mountains and took Crash with us. He had such a great time, and was such a GREAT trip dog. HE has earned himself another vacation totally. Anyway, so we hiked and drove across all of the smokies. We got some awesome pictures, great views too. We got some after hiking baskin robins too, yum yum! We even saw wild turkies--which for some reason I thought was totallllly awesome, I know they are just turkeys, but they were wild! We got to see mountain streams and some baby water falls and some awesome views. When we got on top of some of the mountains it was freezing cold. But it was great. I drove through those mountains just like the locals I swear it was like an xbox game! I was curving and zooming! Back to the cabin. THe cabin also had hbo and all the other good movie channels so we watched some really good movies when we were totally exhausted from hiking (we hiked like 6 or 7 miles-which may not be much to some ppl but we were proud!). We also got two really cute christmas ornaments. One was a wreath with two bears wearing santa hats in it, and a gift tag. That got personalized for free. In the white of the hats each of our names was written and on the white ball of one the year, and then in the gift tag it says "the thackers" sooo cute. The other is a snowman holding a gold star and says smoky mountains 2006. I love getting ornaments from the places we go. We are going to have a kick ass christmas tree one day! Anyway, the trip was wonderful. David and I really needed to get away from everything and just relax, and spend some good quality time together. We had so much fun doing everything, even the ride home (10 hrs) was enjoyable. So it was a total success, and next time we go it better be a damn week LOL. Hopefully we will go stay in Gatlinburg I think that looked really fun, and in a good location, you can walk to everything and have a good view of the mountains. Anyway it was good and I hope everyone is having a good break from school. I go back Thursday-yay:( well, that's all for now!
