Merry Christmas!
OH MY GOSH! Six weeks since I last posted anything... not that I have any significant news but I just can't believe how quickly time goes! Only 2 more days at work before I begin my festive break; this is the longest time I've ever had away from work over a Christmas holiday; there are advantages to being a practice nurse after all!
Speaking of work, while I was shopping yesterday I bumped into the daughter of a patient I nursed when I was a District Nurse; it was so weird because I remembered her name instantly, after about 7 years; it was nice to see her and be recognised because her mum was terminally ill and I saw through her illness to the end, so it was a very emotional time for the family!
The troubling thing is that my forgetfulness about things that happened recently appears to be worsening (and this is no joke) I frequently go out to shop and then forget the main thing I went for only to have a trolley of items which are not needed!! ... I'd better increase the folic acid, ginseng and, oh... what's that other supplement that's good for the memory??
New Year's resolution: make a list before going shopping... and remember to take it with you!!!
