I suspect the Universe of conspiring to make me happy
I must say, I do really love "LAX to O'Hare".
I admit, I frequently like music better if it's by a band I know I like, so maybe that's some of it, but the more I listen to it, the more I like it. Let's see... this is listen #35, according to iTunes.
I thought at first that the whole "countdown" thing was gimmick-y and cheap, but then, watching the website and the lj comm for two and a half hours on Friday night, it ended up being really fun. Everyone was online, so everyone was posting to the comm, so we were almost having conversations in real time. And Johnny was being snarky, as is his wont.
It was like New Year's Eve in Times Square, except warmer and with fewer people and with a better song at the end.
Monday, I get Infinity on High. Friday, I get LAX to O'Hare. I haven't gotten this much good music in such a short time since I bought Almost Here.
p.s., I totally have the mp3. But I'm buying the cd - every different version that comes out, if there will be multiple ones.
