Time to run away from the big city..

I decided to make it a point to visit my friend Cynthia in later july after finals were over. Her baby was just a couple of weeks old. I thought it would be nice to get away from the city and pay her a visit. I took a couple of days of to make my trip worth wild. I packed up the dog and kids and headed to Victorville. It was a very long trip that seemed to never end. Mountains and hills surrounded what looked like a freeway leading to no where. After 2 1/2 hours my destination was complete. We arrived friday noon and decided to relax and enjoy the rest of the evening catching up on baby talk. The next day we took the kids out for a walk and did some shopping . Needless to say that we made up for quality time. At the end of the 3rd day we were ready to head back home. Victorville was very hot and humid and not for my taste. I rather pay my high mortgage than to live inside the devil's armpit...and that's a fact! I enjoyed the peace and quietness that the town had to offer but grew lonely of the fast pace lifestyle.
