16:38 < RedEar-away> is pyqt a cheaper way to build commercial close-sourced qt apps?

My understanding is that you can either:
- Use the commercial PyQt with the commercial Qt ($$$)
- Use the Free PyQt with the Free Qt ($0, but your stuff needs to be GPLed)

so, my point is, python.
it has to be open source.
doesn't neccesarily have to be free software but you cant hide the source :) [for anyone who wants to argue, yes you can obfuscate it ;)]

Most people would regard the Microsoft C runtime (msvcr*.dll) "closed source", but I've got the source sitting on my hard drive :)
