I ended up going to Manifest at the request of my brother and other family members. I had originally wanted to go anyway, but as I had not saved any money figured it wouldn't have even been worth going because I enjoy buying cheap stuff, especially if it is anime and figurines and other things of the like. All that didn't matter, as I went anyway with a limited amount of money and it was fantastic anyway! I didn't need to have money to enjoy it, the sheer amount of cosplay there is to see and the panels and events that go on are great for the $30 I spent at the door.
There was an awesome Zelda through time panel that occurred, which held the discussion of the determination of the flow of time through the Zelda universe and piecing all the games together in a chronological sense. It was so fun to think about! I always do enjoy going to those sorts of conventions for the whole buying of things act, and I did have a little bit of money so I ended up buying a sweet Tails hat and an Iroi Yagami figurine which I am very happy about =].
Look how happy I am with my new Tails hat!
People are very friendly and fun to meet and talk to there, too. I went with my brother Matt and my girlfriend
kurai_enei. She knows a LOT of people there being a volunteer there for several years so there was a lot of social action to be had hanging out with her. Matt really enjoyed himself, which was nice to see as he didn't enjoy it very much a few years ago when he went with my sister
wingsparkle and her boyfriend
macrostheblonde. They used to have it at Melbourne University, so I hear it was a bit cramped and ultimately unorganized, as they had to wait in line for several hours before they even got to go in which was a bummer.
kurai_enei had been in line for a while before my brother and I had even got there which was about 8:15am, so we jumped in the line with her which got us to be about 5-6th in line for those who hadn't registered =D. The only problem I had with anything the entire day was the cloaking room. We were the first people to cloak anything, and had been waiting for 15-20 minutes before anyone had attended to us in order to do so. I had to remind them that I was paying to cloak items ;_;. Oh well, that was minor and I shouldn't even really mention it as it was nothing compared to the awesome that was the rest of the day!
I hope to go next year, with more people because as the saying goes "the more the merrier!". I also hope to cosplay something, I am not sure what yet but I want to start preparing ideas and a product soon to make my first cosplay awesome ^____^.
Take care <3.
PS. I REALLY need to make a layout for this muddabitch of an LJ.
