Band stuffs

So I had my last region band audition ever yesterday. I thought I sucked because I messed up my solo a few times and whatever....but my band dirctor called me last night to tell me that I got second chair :) Which basically means I'm the second best clarinet player in our region 5. So I'm pretty stoked about that. So in two weeks I get to audition

Congrats on 2nd chair! I have University Band auditions tonight. Bleh. Shouldn't be too terrible though. And lemme guess. First chair went to Josh?

Thanks, love! Oh boy..good luck with that. But it's UBand, it's not tough. What do you have to do for the audition?

I have no idea, actually. I suppose I should text him and ask.

Not much. Just a few scales and sight-reading. I'll do fine as long as I don't let myself freak out and bomb the sight-reading. Which is my greatest weakness. Fml. Lol.

Classes start tomorrow though. I feel like I'm going to be bogged down academically this semester.

Ahh, teh sightreading.
Sightreading at region was fairly easy, I though. Typical 3/4 and 6/8 stuff. The second one was in a D major and had some quick runs, but they were chromatic, so it was okay.

What all are you taking this semester?

(also, yes, Josh got first. with a score of 191.4 O_O haha I don't know my score)

I'm taking ENG 288 (American Lit), ENG 287 (English Lit I), PHIL 110 (Deductive Reasoning), EDFN 300 (Schools in Communities), EDTE 400 (Service in Schools), MUSC 124 (Symphonic Band) and MUSC 101C (Applied Clarinet). On top of TBS, Teaching Fellows, my new workout regimen and hopefully a job, I have a full plate. :-P You?

Haha I just have AP English, Gov/Econ, Music Theory, Band, and Chemistry CP.
