Damn, that was an intense moment. I like that Clark's so eager for Chloe's acceptance but what will he say to how sick she looked right after kissing him? I bet he'll go into Super-mope mode :)

I think maybe he's a little too eager... One of the things I was trying to do in this chapter was to show how Madelyn works. She scratches your back and in turn you scratch hers (or her host's). He wants to keep getting scratched, but he doesn't yet realize what that entails.
