Summary: After Spike rides anyway on his bike angry, Xander reflects on what he said…Was there consequences for bringing Buffy back?
Xander leaned against the tree and watched Spike ride away on his bike. “Jerk,” he heard Anya mutter and he nodded his head in agreement even if he didn’t feel it. Those tears had been…he hadn’t seen Spike cry since…He took a deep breath before looking at Anya, “I can’t believe she’s back,” he said his smile feeling fake on his face.
Something felt wrong…not a single part of him felt like celebrating his best friends return… what was wrong with him?

Spike’s last words rung in Xander’s ears and he looked back at the house slowly, “Where we right to do this, Anya?” he whispered.
Anya sighed and took his arms and dragged him to the car, “do you want the truth or the icing chocolate flavoured truth?”
He considered it for a moment before shaking his head, “the truth, Anya, I need to hear it.”
Anya opened the car door and placed him in the driver’s seat. She held the door open and looked into his eyes, “Bringing someone back from the dead…no matter where they were, Xan, is wrong…but,” she sighed and kneeled down in front of him, “what’s done is done, and if bringing back your best friend gets you to smile again…Well, I can’t help but think it was worth it.”
Xander ran his hands through his hair, “Willow knew didn’t she?”
Anya hesitated then slowly nodded her head, “as did I.”
Xander let a sob escape and tried to push it away, but for the first time since he saw Buffy die, he let it happen…
He let himself cry.
Anya held him close and rubbed his back, “shh, Xander, my love, we’ll figure this all out, shhh.”
She rubbed his back and let the tears soak through her shirt.
It was finally time to let go her love let go.
