Softball update
Check out my mad first base skills.
My first team lost the first game 18-7, but my second team mercied the second game 21-1...that was a ton of fun.
I hit 6 for 9 on the afternoon, bringing me to a total of 10 for 19, for a whopping .526 batting average. I got some of my hardest hits today as well, a couple shots to the outfield.
My defense still sucks though, so I tried to stay at first/outfield/catcher to hide my lack of D.
I think I need running shoes, because playing in Vans is killing my legs when I'm running. I feel like I'm running on pavement in socks...it destroys my quads.
After softball I visited the folks for some ribs, cards, and Yahtzee.
All in all, a great Victoria Day, despite the temperature being a little below seasonal.
Thank Jebus I have tomorrow off to rest my aching body...fuck did I take things for granted in that department when I was a kid.
