An actual update!

I haven't updated this thing for awhile! I'm sorry, I admit, Facebook has sucked out my soul. But I didn't completely forget about "the little guy."

What to say what to say....Life has been getting better! The Police concert itself was so awesome. It was so surreal thinking that was really Sting and Stewart Copeland right in front of me. I think I might’ve been on camera when everyone was exiting a couple of times. Let me say this, they still have it and then some. Amazing crowd interaction, nice stage, flawless drumming, tremendous energy, Andy Summers’ sweet guitar strap (it was of Kenny from South Park), and the band’s interaction to each other made it even better and a wonderful experience that I will never forget.

I absolutely looooooove my mixed slo-pitch team, I have so much fun every time I go. I could go on and on, but I know people won't read it, haha. It’s such a contrast with my fast pitch team. This year has really sucked for that. So I think I might finally say something at the end of this fast pitch season. I was thinking, if I do indeed go to Nanaimo, maybe I can find a team there, since it’s really popular there.

I’ve been pretty busy with work as well. I’m so happy I’m on my holidays this week - even though she gave me the wrong week. Everything has changed there though on how we put items through. It’s so messed up and everyone’s ring times are all going to change.

Other than work, I’ve been trying to maintain a social life! I had a lot of fun 3 weeks ago or so playing red rover and octopus tag with Sarah, Ben, Jeremy, Angie, and all of them. Gotta love adolescent antics. Laura was here last week for 3 days. That was pretty good. We went to Gulliver’s and Seven with the chain gang and other people I did not know. Ashley, Laura and the speakers got along quite nicely. It was fun being the designated driver, even though some people probably thought I was drunk too. Ashley got some nice sweaty pictures of us…I can’t wait to see Laura’s! Oh, and she got me such an awesome birthday present! The first present I opened was something she got me from Mexico, and it was a Freddie Mercury shirt. I was semi-freaking out, and jokingly said that all the presents are going to go downhill after that. Next was a picture frame with a picture of us, which was really cute, and I put it up on my VCR. The last present was pretty big, and it was the best one EVER! It was a mini Freddie Mercury statue that sang 3 songs (We Will Rock You, Radio Gaga, We are the Champions). It has such amazing detail with his face and right down to his 1980’s Adidas shoes. Of course, it’s his classic look from their ’86 Magic Tour in his first outfit - he wore several different shirts (one had Betty Boop one it) and besides the yellow jacket, he had a white, red and another white one with a cape on the back. Without continuing my rambling, I’ll just say it is freakin’ awesome!

Let’s see…what else…Raena and I recently had a Guitar Hero showdown. It was pretty intense! Haha. Oh! The charity tournament went well. There was about 11 or 12 teams there. My team got new shirts (which are pretty nice), and actually won a game Sunday morning bright and early against HDF. I don’t know who won the whole tourney though, because I left right after our second game on Sunday to go to Coombs with my parents, sister and Stephanie for Father’s Day.

And to end it, I can’t believe I’ll be 20 tomorrow! My champagne birthday. I am actually going to manage to play mixed slo-pitch and fast pitch tonight back to back. And on Thursday, Robert, my slo-pitch coach, was thinking that our team should go to the bar or somewhere to celebrate 3 birthdays: mine, Kelly’s and Tony’s. It should be really fun if it happens. Oh man, I have to say this though…Kelly and Tony actually did shoe slams after a double header last Tuesday. It was pretty gross, but it seems only guys do them because I haven’t seen a girl do one yet…at least on my team. Anyhoo! I hope to be having a dinner at Boston Pizza tomorrow night or something, since most people are working during the day. So I guess I’ll bug people today and tomorrow about it.

Well, cheers darlings!
