Icon unrelated, I just wanted to use it
...So it's almost been a week since I last posted. S'up f-list? For the incredibly curious for anyone who wants to know what's been up with Tophie... here you go.
Roleplay
1. I finally dragged my lazy ass to apping at crucible_rpg, because I love playing with Fel's Lyle, and I was accepted. \o/
2. Epic thread at 8_dressing is currently at 983 and still going.
3. Still debating whether I should app Feldt at digital_dive so I don't feel bad when I get unlazy and drop Mimi officially.
4. I really really want to take a prompt set from ddd_prompts but whenever I sign up for something like that, I tend to just flop on them and shove them to some dark corner of my brain and I can't bring myself to write or anything. Plus, I dunno if I'd use Motoko or Feldt.
5. New first person sample for Eris. Need that done asap, either today or tomorrow. orz I'm so lazy.
Fandomish stuff
1. Praying I can kick sleep to the curb for a bit and stay up for the raw stream and that it will be as good quality as last week.
2. I've got a fill I need to finish on the Gundam 00 kinkmeme, and then a quick cracky piece I thought of about a week ago and haven't acted on.
Real life shit
1. It took me three months, but I finally went to get an inspection sticker for my van. Slightly leaky exhaust and some bad spots of rust on the rear wheel rims of the body got me a rejection sticker. So I have another 60 days to get a new sticker! Better than risking getting caught with an expired one and fined though. And before you start going "Well shit Tophie, how can you still drive that thing if it failed?" I'll have you know that it is still very driveable.
2. Work is being shit about giving me hours. I had none all last week. I had none all this past week. I have none scheduled for next week either. However, I went in and bitched about my lack of hours to my managers (I HAVE BILLS TO PAY DAMMIT) and I talked to the cashier lead to see if I could swap over temporarily as a cashier (something I'm not all too happy about given that I'll be pressured to get credit apps) but I am very desperate for hours and all the MCA hours are going to the full-timers. :|
2.b. I got a call around 4:15 from work to see if I could cover for the girl in shoes who was sick, so I went in for 5 and stayed till close at 9. Lucky night for me, since I have an idea of what I'm doing there now (as compared to April when I was kind of clueless). So yay for four hours of pay.
3. Last Saturday, I went with my mom to visit my grandmother, the one with Alzheimer's. I dunno what happened to me, but I was pretty quiet and it was so weird for me. I mean, I've been in nursing homes before, when we went to visit my great-grandmothers before they died, but besides not remembering who any of us were... it just hurts. It fucking hurts seeing her like this. My mom said she was going back to visit, but I can't being myself to.
4. You know those Christmas cards I promised? Totally sending them out this Tuesday, I swear. (I'd do it Monday, but it's sort of a holiday. :D;;;)
School stuff
1. Got all my books but one. Ouch.
2. Nerdiest class in the history of forever. I can has it. It's on the graphic novel and one of the books that was on our list was Watchmen, so I'm looking forward to the class-assigned reading for once. XD
