Driving should be a focused activity, always. However, this may be a near impossibility for any English major attempting to start (and finish) a purposeful essay.
Explicate explicate explicate. Always. Explicate. Verb. Analyze and develop (an idea or principle) in detail.
Imagine you were told left is right, up is down, and back is front your entire life/upbringing/childhood. Furthermore, imagine that "good" things were culturally regarded as "bad" things. For example: shit. Shit is dirty, smelly, gross, disease ridden. Shit is something to be avoided. Yet, without it, we wouldn't have food which sustains our (and most every other beings) life. When you see shit, do you see a duck or a rabbit? Or just a splotch on the ground to be avoided? The way shit is nowadays probably does hold true to some of the more negative thinking regarding this fecal matter. By that, I mean the real fact that we (modern humans) toxify our bodies. Thus-toxins in, toxins out. It wasn't always this way though. Shit is necessary and, as disgusting as it may be, part of that grand circle of life. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, shit to soil. And back again.
Wait until you see how I relate this to Sula. If you're even reading at this point, I'm impressed. More later!
