Fanfic Challenge!
ACCEPTING/NOT ACCEPTING CHALLENGES
In attempts to keep all of us going through the long winter break, I will be accepting writing challenges on and off until I feel like I have enough to keep me occupied. I write quick when an idea hits me. I will do my best to finish them on a first come, first serve basis, but of course if the muse hits for one story over another, I might jump ahead to another story. It's nothing personal, and it doesn't mean your challenge was bad, or that I don't like it.
I do, however, reserve the right to refuse a challenge if it is something I don't feel comfortable writing. I would think that goes without saying, but I just want it out there for the record.
So if you have a challenge you would like to extend, or an idea that you would like to see turned into a fic, please look under the cut to see what my "requirements", or preferences are. If you have any questions, I can always be reached by PM.
Also, if you submit a comment here for me to write a fic, I will be responding to you by PM to discuss exactly what it is that you're looking for, so please make sure that you are able to receive PMs. If not, be prepared for me to either ask for your personal email address, or decline your challenge altogether.

Please keep in mind that I haven't finished all of the Southern Vampire Novels yet. I am currently into Book 5, Dead As A Doornail, so asking me to write anything canon beyond this book is a little pointless at the moment. I am hoping to have all of the books read within the coming weeks, and then we can open the challenges up to canon throughout.
***If you have an idea for a specific story, please send me a PM instead of leaving me a comment so that your idea isn't stolen by someone else. I would hate to see that happen, as I plan to credit the hell out of anyone who issues me a challenge or gives me an idea. Seriously, if I could give you a public foot massage, I would probably do it. Seriously.
***If you are issuing me a challenge, please give me specific markers you want to see hit in the story. Such as:
Sookie must wear red, Eric must cry, ___________ song must be used, etc.
Does that make sense? Give me a like a treasure map to string along together for you. I promise, you won't be disappointed.
***I also like working from quotes or songs. I name my chapters after songs, and often listen to the song in question whilst writing because it helps me to get that emotion down. I am a whore for quotes, so I have a ton of them already, but I know there are billions, upon billions out there that I have never read.
***Also, I am not very well-versed yet in the terminology used for fanfic. So if you could break it down for me in dummy-proof English, I would greatly appreciate it. I still get confused between 'slash' and 'het', and I don't want to write the wrong thing. If you want a triangle in your story, just tell me that. That, I will understand.
***I haven't tried writing same sex love stories before, and not that anyone would really want to see it, but I don't think I could write one for Eric & Bill, so please don't ask me to do that. It just gives me the creeps even thinking about it. All I can see is Eric tearing Bill limb from limb like he did what that dumb redneck in the first episode of S2. That isn't sexy. But it would be a great way for Bill to go *drools*
***Please be prepared to deal with my obsessive compulsive personality, and the fact that I am a picky bitch when it comes to what I write. I will go over it and over it, and I will probably never think it is perfect. That's just how I roll. Don't say you haven't been warned.
***If you are interested in collaborating on a story, please send me a PM so we can have a meeting of the minds, and figure out the best way to accommodate both of our styles. Every writer is different, and has their own voice. I wouldn't want anyone to feel stifled by working with me. And if I feel stifled by working with you, believe me, you'll hear about it.
***Finally, please keep in mind that I run four communities on livejournal. They are small communities, and don't take up a lot of my time, but I can't just forget about them. I write fanfic for One Tree Hill as well, and have to devote some of my free time to keeping up with that fandom as well. There just aren't enough hours in the day sometimes. *sigh*

Summary: After staking Lorena, it is revealed she had a second Child that no one knew about, not even Bill, and this Child has come to Bon Temps to avenge his Maker's death putting Sookie's life in danger once again. But who will Sookie turn to for protection? Ex-boyfriend Bill, or the estranged sheriff of Area 5?
Status: Still in the planning stages for this one.

Verse: Canon with showverse through the end of season 2.
Summary: We'll call this an alternate ending to the S2 finale. Bill still proposes to Sookie (Hey! Hey! Lower your weapons, I'm not finished yet!), and she is still unsure of what to do. So she tells Bill that she needs some time to think over his proposal. She is confused about her new ability, and wonders if maybe it has something to do with having Eric's blood in her system. Since she can't very well talk to Bill about this, she finds herself at Fangtasia to talk to the one person who might just be able to answer her questions.
Status: Story is completed, and has been sent for proofreading.
