I highly doubt anyone will be revoking your invitation anytime soon because this set it really lovely! It has a lot of things going for including all that texture work! ;)
I have to say I was compelled to open this post on the strength of that Fargo icon alone because holy WOW. It is absolutely incredible! What a flawless way to do black and white + color; it is positively stunning! The depth and vibrance of the red (with those little hints of purple and yellow) is spot on, and it contrasts really well with the black and white. Not to mention that I love the softness/glossiness of the icon as well as the lighting. It is just a truly lovely icon!
But then once I got here I was treated to the rest of the set which is amazing, and also have a few other gems that caught my eye particularly. For instance, that Luther icon! I love its more muted tones. They are really lovely! But what really caught my eye about it was that texture use. I love the melted figure aspect of it, and I love how it overwhelms but also emphasizes as well; you've really struck a good balance with the texture work versus the subject in this one. It's nice! The True Detective icon is also gorgeous! The subtle duplications of the subject really work, and I love how you've overlapped the forest...or, um, what looks like a forest to me anyway, haha! The Breaking Bad icon is also really cool! Again, also texture use, and I am really loving the monochrome green as well! Monochrome green can be pretty difficult to get right, but you've absolutely done this one justice. And then the Sleepy Hollow icon is also super lovely! Love the colder cyans and blues there, and the texture really fits the screencap you've chosen! AND THEN THERE'S THE DOCTOR WHO ICON. WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. Ahem. Clearly a favorite of mine, huh? But, yeah, I love the minimalistic style. The black and white is perfectly contrasted. And I love the places where she blends into the background almost. Really lovely work there.
I think it is really awesome that you enjoyed making them so much, and thank you for sharing them! <3
