I would like to read more of the Sears books as well. I loaned my SIL The Baby Book for the sections on breastfeeding and returning to work.
My mother keeps pushing me to read The Strong-Willed Child, which was her bible when raising my brother, her firstborn. I haven't hit any major power struggles yet with Allison, although I'm sure they're coming.
It's silly, but I enjoy reading parenting books while I pump at work.
I found that book really useful! I was disappointed just a little because it promised a section on discipline in a single parent household, and there really wasn't one. I plan to reread parts of it as Allison gets older. I quite like the Sears philosophies on children and parenthood; their advice works for me.
It took me a while to get into the series, but I think they're pretty good. My sister only has the first 3 books, so I will need to hit up the library for the rest (and pay off me old late fee first!).
