empty promises and empty words fill empty spaces

they're chasing a man on the television, who pulled over his car to run to a nearby playground, fenced himself in while searching to fulfill some childhood whim of swings and slides and innocence, seated himself on a bench beneath a tree to catch his breath perhaps contemplating the leaves that blew overhead or the shadows cast by some giant spotlight upon his face, "taken down" because his shirt was too baggy and his behavior too ambiguous until there was nothing left but paperwork.
