ladies who lunch and moon doggie!
I think I found where gidget went to the beach in all those movies--crystal cove state park. No. Seriously! There was everything short of tiki torches down on the beach.
Had to ride the shuttle bus since they don't let you park down by the beach ($1 each way!) but at least I didn't have to pay the $10 to get into the park again. Lol
Had lunch at what I could only figure was where alllll the ladies who lunch hang out. I had a supurb tomato soup with a baked cheese and pastry top. Yum! I also had some calimari in honor of M who couldn't be there with me (btw, the calamari at chang's is better! Lol).
Then I went and dipped my feet in the pacific. Got my pants wet, of course but it did feel nice to walk on the sand bare feet and all...of course all I heard in my head was my mother's voice saying "you need to have on flipflops before you get to the water! There might be glass in the sand!" but nothing bad happened and now I'm off to head back up the coast to check in to my hotel and hit the whole foods....how californian of me! Lol
