So, Mr Milo (who was bit by a rattle snake last year) is at the vet again, and staying the night, because he ate something not meant to be eaten.
We're not sure if it's Kleenex, or bandages, or a small washcloth.
But they're giving him extra liquids and stuff to see if he'll pass it, and then take another xray in the morning, and decide if surgery needs to be performed.
I first thought it was bandages. On Tuesday, my husband had a pot of boiling water spilt down his bare leg at work and has third degree burns that we're treating. But after I called him, he swears he cleaned up his wrappings and Kleenex (for dabbing iodine) last night and this morning.
So I'm starting to suspect a washcloth, and fear they'll want to do surgery in the morning.
Since we've been seeing this particular Emergency Vet for 15 years with our various pets and emergencies, I was able to negotiate a slight payment plan - the main deposit, plus two additional payments. They called their main office to get this, and spoke well of me - they are sticking their necks out for me that I'll pay this back promptly, and it honestly made me cry a little that they would do that. I couldn't thank them enough.
Here's hoping tomorrow's a better day.
