These spider amaryllis are so pretty. I just have to keep the animals from nibbling on them since they're toxic. And the blossoms are surpsisingly small. One bloom is just under a pinky length, though the stamens are quite long. But you can spot just one plant from acres away because they're so vivid.
It's weird that we've lived here seven years, but these flowers began blooming suddenly at the end of our property just a few years ago - around the same time we jumped into the Saiyuki fandom. No telling how long they were there are where they came from. But I'm glad they're here. :)
