Discussion will address plural marriage and the family’s new life in Las Vegas.
WHAT: The Kody Brown family of TLC’s “Sister Wives” will participate in a straightforward and informative panel discussion on plural marriage and the family’s new life here in Las Vegas
WHEN: Monday, October 15, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
WHERE: Student Union Ballroom at UNLV
Near Maryland Parkway and Harmon/Maude Frazier Way
DETAILS: The event is free and open to the public. “Sister Wives” is a popular TLC reality show that follows the life of Las Vegas resident Kody Brown, his four wives and their 17 children.
Markie Blumer, UNLV assistant professor/licensed marriage and family therapist, will present a brief overview of plural family research. A panel discussion with the Brown Family (Kody and wives Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn) will be conducted by UNLV instructor and licensed marriage and family therapist Coreen Haym.
The UNLV Office of Civic Engagement and Diversity and the Office of Diversity Initiatives are co-sponsoring the event.
