[ There are sounds of a bed creaking with movement, blankets being shfited and a grunt as she rolls off of the mattress and onto her feet. The blond reporter leans over her nightstand and notes the Dreamberry being on, rolls her eyes to it and just picks it up, shoving it into the pocket of her jeans, which in turn causes the camera feed to go ( Read more... )

[Well, well, well. You may not remember this particular woman, but she knows you well enough. After all, Drake was just so concerned for your well-being that he had to have the doctor peek in to make sure you really would wake up at some point.]

You're awake finally! Nathan will be so pleased.

[ Slowly she side glances to the Dreamberry again, leans and looks at it. ]

What do you mean "finally?"

[Naomi only smiles sweetly towards the other woman. After all, any friend of Drake's...]

You've been in one of the Somarium brand sleep comas for nearly two weeks. Your friend has been terribly concerned for you.

A sleep what now?

[ Okay, that's a tad more concerning than just crashing out of the blue and not recalling it. ]

How does that happen?

It's just the name the residents here have come up with. All it is a prolonged deep sleep that no one can wake you from.

And I'm afraid it is completely random. You have no idea when it will strike or for how long.

I didn't even realize it had been that long... That's insane.

I don't suppose there's a point to it's occurrence?

Besides completely inconveniencing us? No, there's absolutely no point to it. Just another one of Somarium's many quirks.

You call it a quirk, I call it disturbing. Isn't falling into a coma something that people are typically concerned about? Especially randomly. Doesn't that mean there's something wrong?

[ Apparently Nate isn't the only one to be freaked out by this whole thing! ]

[Hey, it's an understandable thing to freak out over.]

I realize that it's a completely frightening concept, but I'm afraid it's just another fact-of-life when it comes to this place. I can assure that every single person to fall into one of these wakes up refreshed and unharmed. There has never been a thing wrong.

I've even been through it before. And my husband too. Twice now.

If I knew of a way to prevent it, I'd be more than happy to share.

Have tests been run on the people to wake up from the sudden comas? To ensure that there's not something wrong with them, that is?

I have run a few and, as I said, there are absolutely no side effects during or upon waking.

Might not be the case with every person in this place, though. Everyone is different, all that...

[ Y, yeah she's totally hinting that she's scared something is drastically wrong with her here. ]

Would you feel a little more reassured with a thorough exam by a licensed physician?

Don't suppose you happen to know one?

I am one. Doctor Naomi Hunter. It's a pleasure to meet you formally, Elena.

[ Have her raising her brows in surprise. Well that's fortunate. ]

Should have guessed. [ There's a bit of relief in her tone. ] Well, if it's not an inconvenience to deal with me being a bit more than a little freaked out by the whole thing. I'd appreciate it.
