A Farce that came to mind

So I was just reading last night and the idea popped into my head to make a book of poems about the gods. Feel like calling it R(D)estruction of the Gods: a book of Irreverent Poetry. Came up with a couple last night... Tell me what you think :)

The Poem that is Not to Eris

There was a poem to Eris here.
But the Spoon
That Is Not
Took it.

There is no poem to Eris here.
I did not write one
Because I knew the Spoon
That Is Not
Would take it.

Hail Eris!

Zeus, the Divine Acid Trip

Zeus is a god. But not just any god -
First, he’s a stone.
Then a bull,
Golden showers,
And an eagle.
What a trip.

What was Hesiod on?
I want some of that.
How do you fit a fetus
In your thigh?
Or a fully-grown and armored princess
In your skull?
She must have taken his brain with her.

gods, poetry, silliness, religion
