"How'd you guys get my espresso machine?" "Well...we fuckin' stole it, man."

So, updating at 2:30 is always good when you've got to be up at 9, but whatever. Sleep will come soon enough.

At the Loco Dinner tonight, Kris (aka shitty boss) announced that he's going to be moving to Sri Lanka in June. I gotta admit, it was more than a little awkward when nobody was like "What? Nah, don't go!" But then again, I doubt very much that he would have expected a reaction like that. We try to be nice, but I think he's fully aware that he's kind of an ass most of the time. Still, he tries to be a good guy and in a weird way I'll miss having him around. It's always good to have a nemesis at work.

This change is good for me, personally, though. Jay (aka Cool Boss) isn't trying to run the show entirely by himself, so he's asked me to accept a more official manager position, complete with liveable salary and everything. Granted, it's going to be difficult to handle that along with my return to school, but hopefully I'll work it out. I'm planning on moving into a one-bedroom at the beginning of August, and I think having that much personal space would benefit my education. It's a total copout to blame my academic failures on my roommates, and I wouldn't dream of meeting anyone that would believe such an accusation, but I'm just trying to say that a little more alone time would probably help in that regard.

Speaking of roommates and the like, more good news! Apparently Tommy scored that internship he had an interview for last weekend, so he's going to be living in Richmond for the Summer. Once I figure out who's actually going to be living in my apartment this summer, I'll figure out if he's going to be staying here or not. If nothing else, he might be able to grab a one bedroom for me in June, and I could just take over the lease in August.

I went and saw "The Life Aquatic" at the Byrd tonight. I'd seen it before, but it was still just as enjoyable. Thumbs up to Bill Murray. He's my kind of guy. So's Tom Petty, for that matter.
