It's 5 AM, do you know where your stakes at?
I would like to segway this post by telling you all how beautiful you are, and how much I've enjoyed being here thus far. But ALSO by telling you all that I work 60 hour weeks and have familial obligations in between and the only reason I get to RP at all is because I'm a rabid insomniac :D
Hokay, so, onto the meatier stuff. Spike, in the nature of Jossverse and all crack therein, has no problem with time wonkage and is quite comfortable to be friends with people from the 1800s as well as people from 2010 or even beyond. He's lived in both times (roughly) and it doesn't bother him obvs because he's a vampire and he's seen a lot of change in his 200 some-odd years. That said, perhaps he would have never seen the Desperate Housewives or True Blood, two things I've had him mention in the past. I'm going to retcon those minor things because I guess they've been brought up- though I don't see them as really affecting anything. Though, because he's without TV (a canon staple for him) he's going to turn to periodicals and recent publications. So yes, he knows about Adam Lambert and Lady GaGa and President Obama. But he hasn't lived through these people being an influence, only read or spoke to people about it.
I find it necessary to formally address only because Buffy is so full of pop-references and I don't have time really to look up every little thing Spike might want to say to see if it fits in timeline. Especially since continuity in Jossverse is kind of moot at this point.
