Well friends, it’s time for a flood, which will start tomorrow and end Wednesday the 28th. And yes, this is a truth flood, but there are several twists in here that will really shake things up. This won’t be a normal truth flood, so make sure that you pay attention to the details.
If anyone has ever seen The Invention of Lying, that’s the type of flood that we’re going to do. Your character, if they are affected, will be compelled to tell the truth. And not only the truth, but basically everything that’s on their mind at the moment. There will be links at the bottom as examples of this. Also, something different from normal truth floods, but your character will not see anything wrong with this. They will not know how to lie, so they won’t see an issue with the truth. On the flip side of that, they don’t understand the concept of lying, so they will think that everyone else is telling the truth, too.
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU SHOULD NOT USE THIS FOR POTENTIALLY TRIGGERY THINGS. Your character can’t be convinced to do something they wouldn’t normally do. This is intended to be for hilarious encounters, like trying to convince characters that the walls are purple or that it’s common courtesy to skip down the corridors singing “I Feel Pretty.”
Now, that seems like a fairly straight and simple flood, right? Well, the Admiral isn’t doing things the easy way. At the beginning of the flood, files will appear in some inmates’ rooms. They look just like regular inmate files, but they’re not. They’re actually their warden’s files that contain all the necessary information about their warden’s history and basic information.
Not all inmates will be receiving files like this and, of course, unpaired inmates will receive nothing. And this is not tied directly to the flood, so you can do one but not do the other, you can do both, or you can do neither.
Please discuss that possibility amongst yourselves. If you want an inmate to have that file, please note that it will not disappear after the flood has ended, but wardens are more than welcome to steal it back. Or, alternatively, inmates can always make copies. Those files are there to stay.
ALSO, files will continue to appear at random times (we will announce it) so that everyone will get a chance at it, if they want it. This is just the beginning of it.
