[Kurt wasn't a loner sort, but he did feel intimidated by a large group of people. He sat close enough to the others so as not to be antisocial, but far enough away that he could be ignored (as if that were possible).]

[Tonks bounded over in her pink-haired glory, looking around as much as possible at all the inmates here. It was a preview of what would be to come if the group session went through. Assuming the blue man was an inmate, she thought she should go introduce herself. He seemed lonely and such.]

Wotcher? I'm Tonks. Mind if I join you?

[The pink-haired woman stood out in a crowd, so Kurt noticed her when she entered. She reminded him somewhat of Rogue and her multi-colored hair. He glanced away to his own tray - rude to stare, after all - and before long she had come over.]

Be my guest. I would not mind the company. [He offered his hand to her, once she had sat down, and welcoming smile.] Now I am certain we have not met for I would remember one so beautiful. Kurt Wagner--its a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

[Tonks gave his hand a firm shake, entirely unfazed by his fingers. She had seen everything in the wizarding world; it took a lot to surprise her. Sliding into a chair at the same time, she smiled. As she pulled her hand back, she slid her chair forward to become a little more comfortable.]

You're quite the flatterer, aren't you? So why are you here by yourself with all these lovely people about?

[With a flick of her hand, she gestured at the other tables and the dozen or so other people around.]

[Kurt shrugged.] No real reason. I'm just...used to being alone, I suppose. Crowds can be a bit intimidating when the surroundings are unfamiliar. [He tilted his head curiously observing his newfound dining companion.] How about you?

Yeah, but doesn't choosing to be alone stop you from making friends which makes you alone? I think you'd be a spot more social, want to make friends being here. How's your warden feel about your unfriendliness?

[Tonks glanced over at the food, though she wasn't really hungry.] Well, I ain't alone, am I? I got you.

[Kurt smiled at that.] Quite right. Now neither of us are alone. Though it might surprise you, I am a Warden myself. My Inmate, Paul Redeker, recently left. [He shrugged.] What lead you to believe I was an inmate?

[Tonks looked a bit surprised though in an amused sort of way, smiling at him.]

Not many wardens that sit by themselves, are there? Well, that and you're blue with scars all over y'. Seemed like a flood thing. No offense. I mean, I guess that was a little offensive, but I didn't mean it.

[She grinned at him, though she jumped up from her seat.] Come get food with me. [Just as she said that, she caught her foot on the edge of her chair and fell over another chair to crash into the ground, causing an embarrassingly loud noise. She hopped up without seeming embarrassed herself, smoothing down her clothes and smiling over at Kurt.]

Sorry. Always been clumsy.

[Just as he suspected, but he was not bothered too much. He even smiled.] No, no, it's perfectly alright. If I had been an inmate then surely your kindness would've warmed my heart! [He placed his hand over his heart, being theatrical again] And I would've been redeemed!

[Kurt leaped from his chair when she fell, his body tense and ready to teleport, when she promptly hopped back up. He returned the smile and allowed his body to relax.] I have always been the opposite myself--though I do not wish to brag. [At least not in the dining hall.] But I shall be honored to walk with such a noblewoman to her meal. [Kurt bowed deeply.]

[Tonks laughed at his theatrics, already beginning to strut toward the food. She needed a quick meal, with group meetings to plan and all, but thought she might as well be social while she was here.] All right! Well, I'll count on you to keep me right then sometimes. Don't be so nice, though. It's weird.
