The question seemed to surprise her, too--she jerked her head up and looked at Dick like maybe he was talking to someone else entirely. No one else was there, so that was a dumb instinct, but her mind wasn't working quite on the level she might have preferred. He wasn't someone she recognized, though she'd been doing a little network-stalking of her own--though she hadn't needed to record everything in the world since her time with Sinister, some habits stuck around.
She mustered up a smile that was faint, bracing, and a little wry, even self-deprecating.
"Just tired. You know, big ship, lots of walking." Quippery being the obvious choice in this situation. She took a quick, deep breath and stood, balancing one hand against the wall. "I'm fine, but thanks."
Off-color and a mess, but totally fine, do you hear me.
"You a Warden or an inmate?"
It struck her as less likely an inmate would bother to ask, but maybe that was unfairly critical of her fellow prisoners.

"Warden." He looked at her curiously, still really not buying this everything's fine routine. "You sure you're alright? I can promise the doctors in there-" He jerked a thumb in the general direction of the infirmary. "Don't bite."
Even if some of their bedside manners might be lacking, looking at you, McCoy.

The suggestion was utterly a sensible one, and yet Threnody balked, a little, at the thought. Deflection being her preferred method here (and since she was rarely inclined to be hostile for no damn reason toward people were trying to be helpful), she shrugged one shoulder.
"Given everything I'm hearing about the population of this Barge, I'm not real sure that's true." But her smile (weary as it was) was to show she was strictly kidding. ...even if it wouldn't surprise her. "It's cool, though, I know what's wrong; it'll go away."
Or it won't.
