Who: Sister Peace and Warren White (with guest appearences from faceless crew and Warren the shark)
Where: Level 5 common room.
When: Now. After endgame stuff has ramped up, before any takedown stuff has happened.
What: Peace goes to find her inmate, then ends up getting jettisoned.
Warnings: Nope, except possibly a little bit of a scuffle with said faceless crew.
Sister Peace wasn't that good in a fight; she wasn't a knight like Chess or tough like Iron Henry. She was better than Rackham but she didn't know how to wield a sword and, even if she had, she didn't have one. (She had dug a fire poker out from under a pile of clutter in her room which would do as a weapon in a pinch. Whacking things on the head wasn't refined or pretty but it worked.) She was damned if she was going to let these faceless things or whoever was impersonating the Admiral hurt Warren. She hadn't been his warden for long, but nothing changed the fact that he came first here. There wasn't much she could do to help the other wardens and he was her responsibility. The best thing for both of them to do would be to hole up and hide out somewhere safe. She had hurriedly packed some food into a basket earlier, as a precaution, and she was glad of it now.
She picked up her journal to tell Warren to stay in his room, when she realised he probably wouldn't be there. Clicking her tongue, she tucked her journal into her habit instead and, with a whimpering screech from Piety, hitched up her skirts and headed off to find him without bothering to send him a message. It was a bit of a gamble but the odds were with her. Warren would be with his shark.
