Hannibal had grown quite used to the eternal monitoring of his inuman but congenial shadow. In order to best negotiate their stay in Paris, he agreed to behave himself in the crowds and remain within monitoring range provided that they visited certain landmarks. He kept the list short, and was willing to explain his reasons for each choice.
