What: For some reason he thinks the best way to get the Admiral's attention is to talk to the ceiling.

The door was ajar into the hallway, the lock bent out of shape. This had worked for Arthas last time - well, sort of. It was where the closest approximation of a face-to-face conversation with the Admiral had happened. The journals were just extended gossip columns and easy to ignore. It was much harder to avoid someone speaking to your face. And seeing as that wasn't actually an option, he was going to talk to am empty room and pretend. In practice the Admiral didn't have a cabin, but in theory every cabin that was set to "default" didn't belong to anyone but him. With people, you could be talking to some other resident, alone in your own room you could be talking to yourself. But alone in deliberate isolation, there was only one person your statements could be directed towards.
He planted his feet dead center in the room and fixed a glare on an arbitrary point somewhere between the lightbulb and the top of the doorframe.
"Admiral. I know you can hear me."
