Who: Will Graham, Hannibal Lecter, Open to Infirmary Staff
What: Will's Exceedingly Polite Awakening from Barge coma.
When: Evening
Where: Infirmary
Warnings & Notes: Hannibal's incidental creepiness, otherwise nope
Hannibal had spent most of the day since Will's rescue sitting at his bedside, watching him implacably while he tried to sort out what to feel. Sometimes it felt like worry. Otherwise it was Definitely Not Worry. Mere territoriality. Professional concern. Not worry. That was a useless emotion of lesser beings.
He left briefly around suppertime to get himself some food and visit the library. He returned with a slim volume in his hand: Yukio Mishima's The Sound of Waves. There was a fairly strong theory that coma patients could hear when spoken to, and benefited from stimulation. He could think of no better right now than a good book. Settling into his chair again, he thumbed open the volume and began to read.
