[Rhade's in the streets and searching for a way to get armor, now that he's seen the apparent (if inconsistent) period they're in. Certainly it would be easier if he had money, and he could. He could get it much the way he did in the space port- though Braxiatel is nowhere around to assist him.

Where is he, anyway?

Oh well. He'll just go earn it on his own. And if he finds anyone that he knows that doesn't know him, he'll try to take note of them.]

[His back is to the Wizard before he turns.] Yes, actually. I was-

[And it's the Doctor.

He stares for a moment, mid-sentence, not really sure how to continue.] I wanted to see about getting some armor. This seems like a good town to find it.

Though first I'll have to see about getting some money. [But he's sure he can manage something. He furrows his brow and clears his throat. Should he tell someone? He should probably tell someone. As soon as he gets that armor, he'll find someone to tell.]

[He has his attention.] Maybe? [Curious.] I'm listening.

[This could lead to something horrible or something incredibly challenging and therefore entertaining. In any case, his former warden is looking kind of strange and he just can't completely stop that "You look really familiar" stare.]

Of course, I can do that.

[Berries won't be a problem. He's not even going to stop and ask what sort of berries they are. He needs that armor money.

....Only he's forgotten that he can't jump and climb as well as he could as a Nietzschean. Gravity is a horrible mistress, and when he starts up that tree he has a moment of surprise. If the Wizard wanted a bit of fun at the expense of Rhade climbing? He's going to get it.

Especially when he makes it up high enough for those berries, and it sort of clicks that he won't be able to just jump out. He's going to have to go back down.]

[Well, now he's at the top, and he's got a good tunic-full of berries that he has hooked into his belt, and... he has to make it back down. Oh gravity? Why such a cruel mistress without augmentation.

His own weight feels cumbersome. He's usually used to feeling light as a cat, but nope! Footslip. He falls down a branch, scrambles to catch himself awkwardly between two larger ones.

No, no! He can do this! He must do this! If he wants to be able to do what he wants to do, he has to be able to climb down at least one tree and not die! And with all the determination of a man about to go slay a dragon, he climbs down. To about the point he's pretty sure he won't break a leg if he hops the rest of the way.

Victorious!]

I hope you have a better container for those berries. [A whole 90% of them didn't end up scattered at the bottom of the tree!

But suddenly there's a realization. There's something I need to tell you. I know this might sound strange, but it's very important. If you meet a man named "Narvin", or know him ( ... )

[Somehow, the bag doesn't surprise him, and he just sort of nods to himself in an of course fashion. But on the observation about Narvin? Oh the relief that passes over Rhade's face. The relief! It is so very relieved.]

Good. I'm glad. [He puts a hand on the Wizard's shoulder.] I was concerned because... he... takes advantage of people, you know.

[Does he here? It doesn't matter. Safe assumption from that reaction.

Vanessa? [Immediately Rhade has his concerned Pride member face on. Problem is, he's a human. And everything that comes with being human is slow and plodding.]

I'll not let them. [He says with certainty. And puts them in his own pocket.... Which... doesn't have his journal he realizes.

DAMMIT! He has to manually go around and find things out and ask people for information.] And If you know where to find the Lady Vanessa I'd be grateful to you for that, as well.

[And he puts both hands over his face, muttering.] Why is there a forest of darkness?

[And he uncovers his face.] If I go that way I'll be wary of the giants. [He'll get badly turned around and give up. Stupid dark forests and screwy human senses.]

[Lalala, just being a normal apprentice, buying supplies, bringing them back to Miracle Hannibal and wife...Arya knows stealing is wrong, but it's not her fault when fat rich merchants tie their purses with fraying string, is it? So what if she helps the string along now and then - it still amounts to a purse full of silver or gold.

One of which she's admiring when she bumps into Rhade, making her drop the apples she'd just bought.] Hey!
