Who: Franklin & Wanda What: Ropes of Love! Where: Franklin's cabin When: Backdated to before Hoffman is captured. Notes: Bondage, so possible triggering? I'll keep it updated.
"Fuck me." That goreshow warning from Dracula had genuinely scared her, and she was right near Franklin's room. Besides, it seemed apt to go to him. He was a vampire, he was the only vampire who she wanted near her veins, and damn it, he had said he loved her. If she went to someone else for protection how was he going to feel?
She bolted down the hall and hurriedly knocked on his door. "Franklin! For fuck's sake, please be home..."
This situation was suddenly in his favor. But he didn't stop to actually think about that. Franklin hurried to the door, and opened it just as quickly. "Wanda? What are you-- Please, do come in." Once she did, he closed the door immediately behind her.
His bed was in a separate room off to the side and the rest of the area looked, well, as any high-priced vampire hotel was expected too appear. Meticulously clean, hardly a thing out of place. On the desk by the couch were a stack of Anne Rice novels. He'd finished nearly all of them, just hadn't returned them yet. Most recently he'd started reading her series on witches.
His concern was apparent as he held her close, arms about her shoulders. "Has something happened? Are you alright?"
"I was in the shower when the announcement went out and was already halfway here when I found out that there was a vampire who'd lost it. You were closest and I thought of you first anyway."
She laid her head on his still chest and sighed. "You're the only guy I want near my veins, you know."
Franklin hugged her tightly. "I'm the only one who will be. No one else." Which he meant to sound protective, but seemed more possessive than he realized.
He caressed her back and hair in a soothing manner. "You'll be safe here. I've made arrangements to make it so."
Wanda swallowed and got a prickly feeling in her stomach from the possessiveness of it. That part she could give him exclusively and it kind of excited her naive little self that he treated that part of their relationship almost like a marriage.
But...he was acting just slightly off, and she blinked up at him. "Arrangements? Did you stock in dinner and a movie?"
He chuckled a little at that. "No, although I should've. It didn't occur to me." One tends to clear their minds when constructing rope. Easier to avoid any possible thoughts on how wrong it all was.
Suddenly, his face lit up like a young boy sneaking down for Christmas presents. "I know! It could be a surprise for you! Just close your eyes and no peeking..."
If only she were less naive, she wouldn't have obeyed so eagerly. He had had plenty of opportunity to hurt her and he hadn't. Besides, Tony must trust him after everything, and that helped her just close her eyes.
"Ok." A little nervous laugh as she thoroughly ignored her instincts.
Franklin waved his hand in front of her face, just to make sure she wasn't peeking. No spoiling the surprise, now! Then very gently he lead her by the shoulders toward his bedroom. He left her side for just a second; she'd hear a flurry of movement as he quickly made tiny perfections to everything. Then he was back by her side.
"Okay...open your eyes!" He was far too gleeful. Eerily so. What she'd see is his bed, neatly decorated. The four strands of curtain-slash-rope, tied to the feet of the bed beneath with their trail masked by the blankets, seemed as much a design choice as the crimson pillows.
"Isn't it wonderful?" The fact that this was wrong, so very much wrong, didn't really occur to him.
"Um..." WHOAH. Ok, it was clear he wanted to next-step their relationship fast. Maybe too fast for her. "Wow." She hesitated at the sight of the strips of cloth. "Ok. Give me a second...."
My new boyfriend's a kinky top who is inquiring after my virginity. Ok. His timing sucks, but...
"Ok." She swallowed. "You've succeeded, my mind's like ninety percent off the danger outside now." She looked up at him wide-eyed. "This is fast for me. I like it, but my stomach is doing flips.
"Can we...ease into using the ropes? It's my first time and all."
Franklin blinked, then again. "What?" It took him a second for things to click. Then he chuckled as if she'd told the funniest joke in the history of everything.
"No, no, silly! It's nothing like that, I promise." If he was capable of blushing, he would've. "I would never suggest the ropes for your first time. That's just bizarre."
With an arm around her shoulders, he tried to nudge her closer to the bed. "The ropes are for your protection. Away from the danger out there." It completely made sense in his head.
She complied gently, but looked at him in puzzlement. "Huh? Hon, you don't need ropes to convince me to stay here until the danger's over. I'm sure you can find all sorts of ways to keep me occupied." Even if they left her sore or thirsty afterward.
The vampire rubbed her shoulders and held in a half-hug. "The activities you have in mind are tempting, granted." His voice dropped to a seductive purr. "I'm sure we'll get to those in time..." Back to business. "But not what's needed right now."
Unknown to her, that was progress for him. He loved her enough not to mix sex with the bondage. In his mind, the situation was too drastic. Protection overrode everything else.
Another nudge toward the bed. "I promise not to tie them too tight. There's really no reason to be nervous at all."
The shaking only made him more concerned. Which, in turn, reinforced the notion that this idea was the best one.
"Of course, luv, of course. That was my intent all along. Wrists and ankles." With none of usual double-triple-knots-upon-knots style. See? Progress was being made.
"And...we're only doing this until the guy's caught, in case he tries to summon me out of the door, right?" Too many vampire movies, this one. And...
...too much instinct to comply as a response to the weird edginess she felt from him. Keep him happy. Buy time. If her hands were free she could gesture and summon her power...if she had to...
...but could she hold off an enraged vampire if he decided he didn't want to let her go?
She bolted down the hall and hurriedly knocked on his door. "Franklin! For fuck's sake, please be home..."

Behold Wanda, most naive of Bottoms.

"What's going on with me?"
She swallowed.
"Um...I'm...okay, I'll try it for a while, but...I'm very scared of having my hands immobilized. I don't know why. Could you do my wrists instead?"
