Wanda felt stiff; her twice daily trips to the gym had been curtailed for a day and a half and she could feel the lack. Having changed into a baggy sweatshirt and full length sweatpants, she doggedly went about her exercises, while nervously watching the door.

Late Evening--Gym

The gym's near constant resident, and Wanda's workout partner was there when she arrived and he was pleased to see her outside of her room. Even though they'd talked not too long ago, the fact that he hadn't seen her was quickly causing him to worry. Had she not shown up this evening, he very likely would have been knocking on the door of her cabin later.

"Hey. Welcome back."

She gave him a wibbly look, and for a moment he was at risk for an embarrassing Wanda-glomp. But then she forced a smile. "Couldn't stay away. I got a commitment. I just...needed some time away."

"Hey, I understand. I'm glad to have ya back."

Reaching out, he set a hand on her shoulder with a supportive smile.

"We'll go light today to get you back into the feel of it. When you come back, you'll have to make up for lost time." He had a playful grin on his face as he said that last part.

She brushed the back of his hand with her fingertips. "Thank you. I mean it. I know it's not my usual time, but I couldn't wait any longer. I'm getting stiff. And I missed hanging out with you.

"Uhoh. I'm gonna be sore a few days..."

Then she thought about it. "Heck, how better to get my head out of a mope?"
