Who: Mark Hoffman.
What: Day in the Life.
When: All Day today.
Where: All about the boat.
Why?: A couple of police friends were talking about an important "anniversary" that some cops choose to celebrate. You graduate, but then you get your two months of training (this is according to them) and they go out with their training officer. When they get their own beat and "pass out of training". You're still a rookie, but at least you're out there with your own partner and you can start earning respect.
Today's the day that Hofferz-25 years ago-graduated so to speak.
Warnings: None yet. However I am open to things! If you want your character to walk into somebody potentially angryface that could happen.
Kay had said that he ought to do something for his team.
He'd slept well and had a decent breakfast. He'd been sleeping better ever since being left alone by everyone. Living a life alone had it's perks.
Except that he didn't deserve that, nor did he want it. Praise maybe? Fame? Congratulations and a pat on the head? He didn't do well without accolades. He knew that about himself, otherwise why aggressively attempt to win awards so often? That's a sign you're being good. He had a warden who was willing to listen and care-but.
He wanted attention and company. He'd never admit that. No one admitted that and those who did were ostracized instantly.
But Kay said do something for them. So he'd resolved to do so. Whatever their faults, nobody took the job without having some degree of liking for humanity. Even in it's shittiest and darkest fucking moments you stood back in awe and wonder (then berated them for being so retarded) or you reached out a helping hand.
He preferred the former explanation. So did the majority of his guys. Rigg and Eric and Kerry.
He'd go out and be with people. For them. And himself.
