Dracula often used the Gardens to play one of the uglier (but more entertaining) pranks he pulled in order to look more evil than he was. That being, swooping down on people from the air above the deck.
But he just wasn't in the mood. Too much was going on. So instead, he floated down beside Raistlin, careful to stay levitated so his boots would not crush the tender plants. "I know the grounds very well if you look for something specific."
Raistlin looked over, surprised at the sudden presence of the man, who was, apparently, floating, but he answered his question. "I need some sage and rose petals, though I can see the roses right over there." They were rather hard to miss, after all.
"Ah, sage. We have three varieties, growing up over against the left side of the greenhouse. It grows like weeds." He floated over there slowly to guide the way. "I in fact know someone who could help bring in new strains if you have need of them."
Going through the section on magic, Raistlin would sometimes grab a book, and go to a table and study it voraciously. That was what he was doing at the moment, something that didn't change no matter what universe he was in.
