The mirror flood, or BookFort 2.0

Aug 18, 2011 09:07

Who: Una Persson, O'Brien, and semi-open (see Notes).
What: In which Una tries to keep O'Brien safe, tries not to get killed, and probably tries to keep other people from getting killed.
Where: Una's cabin and elsewhere.
When: Throughout the mirrorverse flood.
Warnings: For Una and O'Brien's threads, much bitching. For the others, probable dark subject matter. Will update with specifics if needed.
Notes: There are a couple of threads for Una and O'Brien to talk at various points throughout the flood. Affected and unaffected folks are welcome to use the Elsewhere... thread for encounters with her around and about the Barge throughout the flood. All are welcome! Feel free to have seen her frogmarching O'Brien to her room.

It didn't take long for Una to figure out what was going on. The sudden disappearance of Dios was a sign, to say nothing of the changes in her wardrobe and in the contents of her desk, dresser, and bathroom. A quick look through her journal confirmed her fears, and she said a silent prayer of thanks to the Multiverse at large that Edward and Angelica Sexby were no longer here.

First things first: secure O'Brien's safety, whether he was affected or not. She went straight to his room and, for the benefit of any flood-affected people who might have been listening, made some noises about how the time had come for proper discipline, et cetera, and she'd be keeping him in her room for a few days where she could keep a close eye on him.
